From pictures of space and the beauty all around us.

The beauty is all around us and yet we do not see it…we must seek and find…we must search out the pictures to see what is beyond. Thousands of pictures are available for your pleasure. You must search for them.

You may even see the Eye of God or the Hand of God.

There is a song Grace Greater Than Our Sin and the words of the song state: Grace that exceeds our sin and our guilt,…Freely bestowed on all who believe….will you this moment His Grace receive. Words by Julia H. Johnston (1849-1919).

God has given us the ability to have a relationship with Him.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever (anybody) believes, in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but (God sent His Son) in order that the world might be saved through him John 3:16-17 (ESV). Simple but not easy for many to accept this free offer.

Do you have a “heart of stone” or a “heart of flesh”?

And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh  Ezekiel 36:26 (ESV).

People with granite hearts….stone.

There are people you hear them talking, and immediately  you know their heart is like Rushmore…hard…petrified…unyielding…intolerant …and the list goes on.

When God does a transformation in us, we are changed, “like a new creation” and nothing like the old. Our heart is changed from stone to flesh.

1366e-heart  A SIMPLE PRAYER:  Father, change my heart, create in me a new “heart of flesh” and remove the stone within me. Psalms 51:10

There was a man lame for 38 years. He lay beside a pool of water which, when stirred up by an angel, would heal people of afflictions. A person gets into the pool at the time of the agitation, he/she will be miraculously healed.

Jesus comes and asks a basic question, Do you want to be healed (John 5:2-9 ESV)? This is where we scream “Duh!” He has been in this condition for a long time, and he cannot just get up and walk into the pool.

But Jesus is insightful enough to know that people do not want to do what it will take to find healing. Jesus says, Do you want to be healed? Are you serious about your condition, so that you will do whatever it takes?  The correct answer is Yes!

magical-weave-mirror  Are you willing to do whatever it takes to find wholeness?

Seek first the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness, and all these things will be added to you (Matt. 6:33 ESV).

I just don’t understand it…Shakespeare, Browning, The Bible?
We can read a passage, but not get the meaning of it. Shakespeare wrote in a language that seems foreign to us. Many plays or movies are based on his works, but someone takes that work and makes it more understandable in language we understand.

From Henry IV, Part I,V, i, 28 comes this line: Rebellion lay in his way, and he found it. I met Bob Hostetler who wrote THE BARD AND THE BIBLE-A Shakespeare Devotional. I found that note and information on April 25th, and he clarified it for me in words I understood.

Bible Page   It took someone to come alongside and explain it to me.

Acts 8:26-40 tells a story about Philip being sent by an Angel to meet up with an Ethiopian eunuch who is reading a passage from Isaiah 53:7-8.

Philip says Do you understand what you are reading? The man says How can I, unless someone guides me?

Sometimes it takes a teacher/friend to help us understand the very simple things in life. I spend time studying because I want to learn something new and interesting. And I just might stumble on something of value to my understanding! THE WAY TO WISDOM!

New Creation….

Differences between what was….and what is now!

AAEAAQAAAAAAAADyAAAAJDhkZDRiMjU4LTJjYzctNDc5Ni1hNDI2LTkyOGY5ZTMyZDZkYgWe wonder how we got along with the old and for some, they don’t want the new. Once you see the value of the new to replace the old, like losing weight, change of wardrobe, or a new car, you begin to embrace the future.

In my life, it is not always easy to move to the new. I am set in I have always done it this way. The other day I was in a store and something happened so the computer/cash register did not work. After a lengthy amount of time, I said, Just get a piece of paper and a pencil, and we can have this done in no time.

I do embrace change, and even challenge myself.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. (II Cor. 5:17-ESV) It is just about that simple, but I must believe that today is a new day, and I am a new creation.old-school-vs-new-school-1

Make a decision today, 2018, not to focus on past things,

but look to the future (today and tomorrow). That can keep you busy for some length of time, and it could impact your life. Life could be very different in a short period of time.
